The Story: I was searching for sea glass while swimming with my daughter at Mero Beach in Dominica, but the ocean offered shards of pottery in muted aqua, soft teal, bright orange, and faded white instead. Orange is a color I don’t normally use, but I loved this color palette the moment my fingers pulled them from the sand. This is Caribbean color meets Colorado landscape: a daydream of what my backyard might look like with more water in high places.
This piece is hand-embellished, meaning I go over the gold accents with fresh paint to make them shine and pop. Your print will have a personal touch and will more closely resemble the original.
