The Story: This piece was created for ‘Where We Roam: A Show for Public Lands’, featured at NoBo Bus Stop Gallery in Boulder, CO. Straddling the Continental Divide, Berthoud Pass divides Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, both under threat as part of the James Peak Roadless Area. When hiking atop the ridge trail at sunrise, I’m silenced by glory dancing in all directions beneath my boots. Regardless of what divides us, we all stand on the same soil.
